About Marie Deery
Certified co-active leadership coach. Two decades leading teams at Nike, Girl Effect and Saatchi & Saatchi before retraining to help leaders take their leadership to the next level.
I've worked for the last two decades in advertising, and my career has taken me on some weird and wonderful adventures; particular highlights include launching Nike's London Olympic campaign, and spending two years in Addis Ababa setting up youth brand Yegna with the Girl Effect. Most recently I was Head of Account Management at Saatchi & Saatchi.
I understand the leadership experience because I experienced it from the inside out.
As part of my last senior management role I was lucky enough to work with a coach – and I found it to be a profoundly transformative experience. In fact, I was so amazed by the benefits that I resigned from my job and re-trained to become a coach so others could experience the wonder of coaching.
I'm a certified co-active coach (CPCC) – so I bring the lived experience but also the coaching rigour to my work. For me, coaching is about realising potential, not fixing problems. And nothing gives me more fulfilment than enabling people to become a leader they are proud of.
